2nd Annual Crew 5k Walk/Run

Entry Info/Packet Pick-up

Send application/payment (cash/check) to Crew Community Church (address on registration panel) or register online at http://marcum5k-invitefriends.eventbrite.com on or before August 20, 2008, or come to the Pullman Square pavilion (across from Starbuck’s) on Saturday, August 23, 2008 before 7:45 am.

T-shirt/packet pick-up will ONLY be Saturday, August 23, from 7:00-7:45am, when you will receive your chip.

5k RUN

All participants will receive a short sleeve t-shirt and an official race time. Race be-gins at 8:00 am.

5k WALK

All participants in this non-competitive event will receive a short sleeve t-shirt and be eligible for a door prize. No age divisions will be used. Please no bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades on the course. All walkers must be registered and have a race number to participate. This event begins at 8:15 a.m.

Team Challenge

Participants will be eligible to participate as a member of a registered team. Examples include coworkers, friends, family, etc. All you need is a team name under which the members are registered. Prizes will be awarded for the team with the lowest average race time.

Prizes

An overall first and second place prize will be awarded per gender:

  1. First place $100
  2. Second place $50

Additionally, first place prizes ($25) will be awarded for each age division and the team challenge winner.

An awards ceremony will begin at 9:00 am, during which door prizes will be drawn for all participants. Winners names will be available at the registration table.

The Start Line is on 3rd Avenue in front of Pullman Square. Runners will begin at Pullman Square (9th St. and 3rd Ave.) and continue down 3rd Ave. to 20th Street and across to 5th Ave. The course continues down 5th Ave. to 7th St. then back to 3rd Ave. return-ing to Pullman Square where the finish line will be.

Results

The 5k run will be professionally timed by Tom Plummer using The Chip, with final results available within minutes of the finish. Results will be available from a link within 24 hours on: http://marcum5k-invitefriends.eventbrite.com
